We have met Danielle de Lange, who writes the blog The Style Files. She search around the world new decorating ideas, new products… for inspiring her readers. Based in The Netherlands, The Style Files gives worldwide coverage from a European viewpoint, with an emphasis on Dutch and the –not so standard- design.
Si vous étiez une décoration de Noël? Je serais une décoration faite par mon fils. En effet, nous avons fait des pompoms pour notre sapin de Noël la semaine dernière et il en est fan ! J’aime créer de nouvelles décorations de Noël chaque année et ainsi créer de nouveaux souvenirs…
If you were a Christmas decoration, which one would you be? I would be a decoration made by my son. We made pompoms for our Christmas tree last week and he loved it. I like to make different Christmas ornaments every year and create memories this way.
Si vous étiez un plat/une gourmandise typique de NOEL dans votre pays? Je serais une tarte aux pommes faîtes maison. Peut-être avec un petit peu de glace à la vanille.
If you were a dish/dessert of your country, which one would you be? I would be a home made apple pie! Perhaps with a little bit of warm vanilla icecream.
Si vous étiez une idée cadeau pour vous? Je serais un cadeau unique, de préférence fait maison.
If you were a gift idea for yourself, which one would you be? I would be a unique gift, preferably hand made.
Si vous étiez une idée cadeau de Smallable? Je serais un teepee. Nous en avons un à la maison (acheté sur Smallable bien sûr) et mon fils et moi prenons beaucoup de plaisir à jouet et se cacher dedans !

Si vous étiez une couleur de NOEL? Je serais le blanc (je sais, ce n’est pas une couleur). Je ne suis pas fan des couleurs audacieuses et des mélanges de blanc avec d’autres couleurs.
If you were a Christmas colour, which one would you be? I would be white (technically not a color I know..). I am not too fond of bold Christmas colors and white blends well with every other color.
Si vous étiez une rue illuminée / une vitrine de magasin à NOEL dans votre pays? Je serais le ‘9 straatjes’ (9 petites rues en Néerlandais). Il s’agit d’un beau quartier composé de neuf rue, situé au cœur d’Amsterdam, avec de belles boutiques (pas les très standard) et des cafés.
In your country if you were a street or shop window decorated in Christmas lights, which one would you be? I would be the ‘9 straatjes’ (Dutch for 9 little streets). This is a lovely area consisting of nine street in the heart of Amsterdam with beautiful shops (not the very standard ones) and cafes.
Si vous étiez une tenue de fête? Je serais un top à paillettes mousseux jumelé avec un jean ou un pantalon noir.
If you were a party outfit, which one would you be? I would be a sparkling sequin top paired with a simple jeans or black trousers.
Si vous étiez un vœu à Noel? Santé et bonheur pour les gens que j’aime.
