Anna von Lipa

The story of Anna von Lipa began in the 1990s when Danish designer Jytte Correll found herself travelling through the Czech region of Bohemia: the glass empire of central Europe. Awestruck by its quality and beauty, Jytte began presenting Czech-made glassware in her design stores back in Denmark, collaborating with renowned glassblowers over the course of seventeen years, before eventually buying her own glass factory in the Czech town of Novy Bor. In 2013, she put down roots at a nearby farm, and launched Anna von Lipa. Working with some of the country’s foremost artisans, the brand designs and manufactures luxurious crystal glassware using the traditional free-blown technique. The label’s style is marked by a distinctive Scandinavian modernism while remaining true to the classic patterns and forms of the Czech tradition. Discover the collection, now on Smallable.
