For Claire Lampert and Stacy Daily, founders of denim label B Sides, beauty is found in imperfection. These self-confessed jean junkies and veterans of the fashion industry began collecting antique denim for their curated vintage boutique Where I Was From. They took to denim like a music aficionado takes to the B-side of a record: with an eager desire to find those idiosyncratic pieces that have a story to tell. It was here that their signature vintage patchwork styles were born - a graphic collection of jeans that spliced different washes and colours together to create a new, reworked look. Subsequently, the brand has introduced a denim collection using new material – sourced from family-owned mills in Georgia and North Carolina – that features the same distinct sensibility and attention to detail as their upcycled vintage range.
