A far cry from America’s heartland, Rotterdam seems an unlikely place for a cowboy boot brand to establish itself, but we’re so glad it did. It started when Mariska van Pelt’s search for the perfect cowboy boot for her daughter proved fruitless. In 2020, she took matters into her own hands and founded Bootstock. Using the traditional shape as her canvas, Mariska adds colour, embroidery, and playful details, resulting in a style that’s one part western, two parts fun. The cowboy boots are made with 100% cow leather, expertly processed in a Dutch tannery where values of quality and sustainability are paramount. The boots are made using the Goodyear Welted method, the oldest and most durable technique for making boots by hand, and are detailed with beautiful hand-finished stitching. The best part? They’re available in sizes for girls and women.
