Casa Cecu
Casa Cecu is the ceramics studio of Turkish artist Dilara Harmanci. Growing up in a family of textile makers, the Istanbul native was quickly drawn into the artistic sphere where she explored photography and painting before turning her hand to clay. Now based out of a dedicated studio in Galicia – a region in Spain’s northwest – Dilara creates bold, textured ceramics with sculptural appeal. Her artistic process is entirely by hand and is largely improvised: according to the artist, she prefers to start with a blank slate and let the design appear in a raw and imperfect form. The result is a collection of highly unique tableware with exaggerated forms and dramatic colours and glazes, which she mixes herself. Discover our selection from Casa Cecu, now on Smallable.
