French publishing house Kimane Editions was founded in 2013 by the late Christophe Lagrange, now run by his successor and friend Jeanne Remience. The house publishes a wide selection of internationally-known children’s books for the French market, including picture books, pop-up books, and more. Kimane is proud to take a stand for social and environmental issues, as evidenced by the themes found so often in the books they publish. From protecting our planet and endangered species to shining a light on remarkable women, the publisher makes their commitments known. Here at Smallable we’re love their Petite & Grande collection, which highlights women from various backgrounds, including African American activist Rosa Parks and Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
