Le Monde Beryl

Established in 2016 by Lily Atherton Hanbury and Katya Shyfrin, Le Monde Beryl reimagines classic shoes and accessories with a contemporary sensibility. At the core of the collection is the ‘friulane’, the traditional Venetian gondolier shoe, originally sewn together from scraps of fabric and rubber during the Second World War. Today, Le Monde Beryl elevates this iconic silhouette with richly coloured materials and meticulous craftsmanship. Each slipper is handmade in Italy by master artisans who employ age-old techniques and the finest velvets, satins, and suedes, as well as intricate embellishments. Like the family of gemstones to which the brand owes its name, Le Monde Beryl’s shoes are designed to be admired from every angle and to stand the test of time.
