Martin Pedersen established his sock factory in Herning, Denmark in 1937, laying the foundations for a legacy of craftsmanship, quality and durability. More than eighty years later, his eponymous label mp Denmark continues to design the same world class product in its founding city. Today, the brand owns its own knitting factory in Latvia, where 152 special made knitting machines — developed in Japan and Italy — work to produce six million pairs of socks a year. Each one is knitted with reinforced heel and toe and bears the OEKO-TEX® certification, ensuring that no harmful substances are used in their production.
