Piet Hein Eek
In the early 1990s, Dutch designer Piet Hein Eek made a name for himself as a pioneer of sustainable art and design. With an oeuvre that spans furniture, textiles, lighting, rugs, household wares, wallpaper, watches, eyewear and more, the designer’s work sits at the crossroad between art and design, and each of his pieces is imbued with social and environmental messages. Repurposing material waste such as unused wood and industrial steel, Piet Hein Eek’s pieces all have raw, authentic and contemporary appeal. His Eenmal lamps are no exception, each one is handmade with different coloured enamel and features an industrial-style design that can be placed on a bedside table, in a closet, hung on a wall or attached to a lamp base and used as a table lamp or reading light.
