Studio Roof

Founded in 2005 by husband and wife team Romy Boesveldt and Ilya Yashkin, Studio ROOF is a Dutch design studio that creates colourful cardboard wall hangings, games, toys and paper goods for children and adults. The duo, who are parents to three children, believe that imagination and playfulness are not only connected to childhood but a key element that pervades every aspect of life, at all ages. This line of thinking motivates their creative process and ultimately unfolds in their cardboard products – masks, birds, insects, cities, sea animals, earth creatures and many more. Their highly original collections are all inspired by nature and animals, and so it is only fitting that their products are all eco-friendly, made from recycled cardboard and coloured with plant-based vegetable ink.
