Swedish Stockings

Swedish Stockings

After learning that the production of hosiery relies on environmentally harmful petroleum and planned obsolescence, Linn Frisinger and Nadja Forsberg founded Swedish Stockings in 2013 with the aim of flipping the industry on its head. Using a variety of eco-friendly fibres including a bio-based textile made from the castor bean plant, recycled PET bottles, and post-consumer waste materials, Swedish Stockings offer a wide range of premium tights and stockings that are as sustainable as they are long lasting. The brand works with reliable zero-waste factories in Italy that use eco-friendly dyes and solar energy to produce hosiery whose quality is second-to-none. The brand’s goal is ultimately to be able to close the loop – to create new stockings out of old ones – but until the technology is available, the founders are busy coming up with innovative eco-friendly alternatives. This is a brand with legs.
