Before starting Thousand, Gloria Hwang never wore a helmet. Even though she was a long-time cyclist, she found them to be too bulky, too inconvenient, and too futuristic looking. But when she lost a friend to a fatal bike accident, she knew she had to change, so she set to work designing her own. Her brand Thousand believes you shouldn’t have to choose between style, safety and convenience. Their helmets feature soft vegan leather straps and a dial to easily adjust the helmet to your head as well as an innovative “pop lock” which allows you to lock your helmet securely with your bike when not using it. And with a wide range of colourways inspired by the 60s and 70s with premium matte and semigloss finishes, they look as good as they feel. Let’s ride!
