Dutch artist Tiny de Vries loves to illustrate her life. She grew up in a small farming village in the warm surroundings of a creative, open minded and free-spirited family. After graduating from the Utrecht School of Arts in 1995, she went on to study and live in Indonesia, before travelling the world, discovering new cultures, and dreaming of a peaceful existence in harmony with nature. All of these experiences continue to feed her creativity and offer the artist endless inspiration, which she channels into her Utrecht-based studio, Tinystories. Her paintings and illustrations are all hand drawn often combining different techniques and materials such as ink, gouache, and acrylic on old paper, sun bleached linen and vintage bookpaper.
