Tolix

Founded in Burgundy in 1908 by Xavier Pauchard, TOLIX began as a manufacturer of furniture and household items specialising in galvanized sheet metal. Its early models such as the Chair A (subsequently displayed at the MoMa in New York and the Georges Pompidou Centre in Paris), the T37 Chair, and the KUB Table earnt the brand international acclaim and laid the foundations for what has become an institution in French furniture design. When Pauchard’s sons took over the business they introduced other models with the same industrial aesthetic earning the brand the “Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant” label in 2006 for its craftsmanship and industrial excellence. Anchored in both tradition and innovation, TOLIX now uses 98% recyclable materials and collaborates with a variety of contemporary designers such as Lex Pott, Julie Richoz and Normal Studio.
