Yoto Player
As fathers of small children, Ben Drury and Filip Denker were aware of the effects that excess screen time has on young kids. However, having met in the digital music world, the two friends were strong believers in the power of the internet and wanted to use tech as a force for good. So, together they created Yoto: a carefully connected screen-free audio device for children. Inspired by the Montessori Method, Yoto puts children in control of their listening with the use of physical smartcards that play stories, music, activities, podcasts and radio. There is no camera, no microphone and no ads so parents can rest assured while their kids enjoy an ever-growing catalogue of content featuring some of the very best children’s authors. What’s more, it has a built-in battery for portable play, a clever magnetic charging dock, and a parent’s app for managing the settings. Hello Yoto!
