‘Un thé à l’eau de parapluie’ Picture Book - Karen Hottois
- Elmo’s heart is heavy. Rain is streaming down his windows: summer is well and truly over… But Elmo has a trick up his sleeve. When he’s feeling down, he makes an umbrella tea. The recipe is simple: he finds a big cloud, a big cloud full of water vapour, laden with sunshine, grasshoppers and poppies, and when the cloud bursts, when the rain starts to fall, he collects it! Then he savours his tea, preferably in the company of dear friends, he closes his eyes, he drinks in the holidays from his cup, he delights in this warm, gentle beverage, and once he’s feeling more like himself, when he’s full, he goes out and makes the most of all the joys of autumn!
